Crane High School - Class of '93
Thursday, June 19, 2003
As much as we wanted to be there, Amy, Aiden, and I won't be able to join everyone in Crane this weekend. I hope everyone has a great time, and we'll pray for safe traveling for all involved.
To those who are able to post during the weekend, please take a moment to drop in here and update the rest of us on how things are going. Some of us would enjoy following along from a distance if it's possible. We'd definitely like to hear everyone's report after the reunion. We plan to keep the site up and running indefinitely so everyone can continue to check in and keep in touch.
Take lots of pictures, and email what you have (during or after the reunion) to me here.

Josh sent this in:
This is Josh Covington reporting in, CHS class of 1993. I don't think I
will be able to make the reunion this year due to work, I am planning on
making the all school reunion next time. After high school I ended up
graduating from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. I got my
B.S. in Agricultural Services and Development, Extension and Industry. I
ended up as a shop and warehouse foreman at a John Deere dealership in
Denton, TX. I worked at that location for almost four years. Just recently
I went to work at a John Deere dealership in Sherman, TX (C & S Equipment)
as the Service Manager. Because of the recent change I do not think I will
be able to make the reunion but I will try. I am single have no kids, and
no plans for either in the near future, e-mail me if you want to.

Dusty sent me a boat load of pictures. I'm posting some of them below. This isn't designed to be dominated by pictures of certain people, but we're just putting up what we get. Please let us know if you have photos that would be good for the site.
Something scout related: Dusty, Chad, Eric (I think), Andy's butt, Robert, Clinton, Scott, ?
8th Grade Football and Basketball Teams, 1988-89
(It looks like the photographer said, "everyone look miserable"....or maybe that's just how we all felt about playing for Coach Adams.)
Dusty and Thad after the Regional Debate Tournament, 1990
Scott and Dusty
Scott, Dusty, and Thad at Prom, 1993
Scott and Dusty in 2002
Dusty and Cody at Cody's wedding

Seventh grade basketball in Greenwood: (FR) Dusty, Kool, Evan (BR) Stinson, Robert, Thad, Albert, Ramon
Seventh grade track in Ft. Stockton: Thad and Bill
These people aren't all from our class, but I thought it might be an interesting photo anyway. This is a group of the Crane people who were at my wedding in February of 2000.
Britt Norvell, Will Norvell (my brothers), Kory Bomar, Thad, Jeremy Boswell, Rebekah Lowery, Paul Loyless, Sarah Lowery, Michael Eaton, Andy Stinson, Scott Huddleston. There were one or two others who aren't pictured (Cory Pettit, etc.)

Elizabeth and Tiffany
Elizabeth and her daughter, Madelyn
Again, if you have photos to post, send them here. They don't have to be of the whole class, and they don't even have to be from high school. Feel free to send current photos of you (and your family, etc.)
This is from our last football game in 8th grade. Kermit beat us up. Good luck figuring out who's who. The easy ones are Chris Jeffery (23) and me (11) -- the biggest guy and the smallest guy on the team side by side.
Chad Edwards, Mike Eaton, Kelly Robinson, and Cory Pettit preparing for a hiking trip we took in the mountains in New Mexico. I think it's the summer of '89...could be '90. Coach Dudgeon is in the background.

Here are some photos from a long time ago, compliments of Elizabeth. If you have photos that are worth posting, send them here. Please try to make sure the files aren't unreasonably large so that the can be easily down- and uploaded.
Anyone know what happened to Cool (or is it Kool)? He was quite a cowboy...

It’s good to hear a little more from folks I haven’t seen or heard from in a long time (ten years in some cases). My family left Crane in ’96, and I think I’ve only been back twice since then.
For me, the last ten years have been good and hard and fun and life-changing and, well, probably a lot like they’ve been for most everyone else. I was at A&M from ’93-’97 (along with several others: Dusty, Scott, Stinson, Mykal, Eric, Tiffany), then moved to Dallas after I graduated. I worked at a law firm for a couple of years, which was long enough to decide not to go to law school (I’ll leave the dirty lawyering to Dusty and Andy). I then spent a couple of years helping start a new church outside Fort Worth.
During that time (Feb. 2000), I met and married Amy. We stayed in FW, and I began writing full time later that year. I did freelance work for a while, then took an Editor/Writer job at a small college in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We’ve been here since the spring of ’01, enjoying four real seasons, lots of snow, and cooler weather. We had our first son, Aiden Thomas, in September, and we’re having more fun than we ever imagined. We hope to return to Texas in the near future, but we’re enjoying this season of our lives.
We’re talking about the reunion, but we haven’t made a final decision. For us to come involves flying to Dallas, driving to Crane, and the whole return trip…no small feat with a nine month old. If we can find reasonable airfare, we’ll probably come. A few of us who are still close are discussing making the trip West together. We’ll see.
If you're wondering what to post, a good starting place would just be an update on where you are, what you're doing, family info, etc.
I'm in the process of sending site registration invites to all of the email addresses Elizabeth gave me. If you haven't received one by this afternoon, email me here and let me know. Everyone has to receive a unique invite from the site. Don't forward yours on to someone else -- I don't think they'll be able to register using the link in your invite.

This site has been set up as a "gathering place" for everyone to catch up and dialogue about the reunion planned for June 20-21. Please note the heading above about registering to post and send an email here to get signed up. If you have questions about the reunion, contact Elizabeth at emandry@cox.net. Others will be joining us soon.
